Electrical Hardware Engineer Primary functions include: Analyze requirements and evaluate various technologies to identify solutions for agricultural vehicle sensor and component applications. Work with electronic suppliers to design and develop sensors, wiring harnesses, and components for agricultural vehicles applications Work with key electronic suppliers to define electrical controller hardware requirements and then develop and test the hardware. Work with software engineers to develop algorithms for the vehicle control systems related to sensor and component applications. Develop and/or execute product verification and validation activities for sensors, actuators, controllers, and electrical components. Coordinate test activities with internal and external suppliers to ensure that tests are conducted per the specifications and project schedules. Key technical skills and qualifications needed are: BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering Working knowledge with electronic, hydraulic and/or electro-mechanical systems Working knowledge with electronic test tools to assist in analysis and verification Working knowledge of sensors, actuators, controllers and electrical components Experience with software for embedded systems (Prefer C/C++ programming) Other desired skills are: Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work within a team (internal/customer) environment Agricultural/Automotive background Minimal travel may be required
